Propaganda of WWII Pacific

Propaganda in the Pacific Theater in WWII was used greatly. It was used to recruit soldiers, spread ideas, motivate the homefront to help the war effort and to sell war bonds. Now for examples of both sides

This is an example of Propaganda made by Americans. Motivating Americans to invest in war bonds. This is saying if you don't invest in war bonds the Japanese will take over the United States

This is an example of Japanese propaganda. This is showing  Japan joining with Germany and the Axis powers to become a world power. This picture shows Japan as a Titan. Showing that no one stands in the way of Japan. This motivates the Japanese citizens to work harder because they want to be part of success. Also the government is trying to show that Japan is a super power and they have no threat even though they did.

This is an example of American propaganda. This piece of Propaganda is trying to motivate American workers/citizens to work harder for the war effort. It also is competition between Japan and the U.S. because were competing against each other and really whoever works harder wins. Its making fun of the Japanese because they work a lot better than Americans did

This is another example of American Propaganda. This is showing that American will end WW2 by beating Japan. This was probably made after Germany was defeated because it seems that Japan is the only one left. It's motivating America to finish WWII and that we have to get tough and do it. Uncle Sam is resembling America.

Essential Question:
Justify the use of propaganda even though it is offensive.
